Program Overview 

  • For 2nd to 12th Grades
  • 60 Minutes per Session (Monday to Friday)
    • Small Group Session/One-on-One Session

Program Description 

We will help our students learn and master all skills necessary to ensure their academic success in reading, writing, speaking. Our one-on-one and small group settings will help them form, develop, and confidently convey simple and complex opinions about almost any topic.

What Students Will Learn 

Our language arts tutoring program is designed for the betterment of our students’ literacy skills, including speaking, listening, reading, and writing.

The Program Includes:

Phonics

We teach children how to understand sounds through letter recognition, blending, and decoding. It is considered as the foundation for rereading and reading which can lead to fluency. Fluency is the ability to sound out familiar and unfamiliar words in the text while reading.

Vocabulary

Learning multiple meanings, synonyms, antonyms, and context clues can help broaden the oral expression, writing, and speaking skills of children. 

Spelling

Learning specific letter combinations, understanding the relationship between sounds and letters, patterning of consonant-vowel-consonant, short and long vowel sounds, sight words, commonly misspelled words, subject-specific terminology, the etymology of words.

Grammar

Developing skills in spelling, punctuation, sentence types, and other grammar rules can lead to better reading, writing, listening, and speaking better. 

Reading 

Building critical thinking skills through pre-reading, reading comprehension, making inferences, asking questions, summarizing, comparing and contrasting, analyzing characters, and identifying cause and effect creates an understanding of literature. 

Writing

Beginning with prewriting, applying the writing process, sentence and paragraph structure, sequencing, conventions, various genres of composition, response, analysis, and creative thinking structure students’ writing.
